About the Role
A well-established Australian iron ore and lithium mining company is looking for a driven Mineral Processing Engineer to join their technical service team Perth. You will support both operating plants and greenfield project studies, with focus on processes design, simulation, and optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct process modeling and simulation for crushing , screening, dense media separation, and benefication circuits.
- Support feasibility and pre-feasibility studies including mass balance development and equipment sizing
- Analyse plant operating data to identify bottleneck and deliver improvement recommendations
- Coordinate laboratory and pilot plant test work programmes
- Prepare process design criteria, PFDs, and PIDs for project work
- Collaborate with project engineers, geologist, and site operation teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Minerals Processing Engineering
- 3-6 year’s experience in mineral processing engineering within the mining industry
- Familiarity with JKSimMet, USIM PAC, or similar simulation sofware
- Experience with iron ore, lithium, or base metals processing advantageous
- Strong problem-solving mindset with sound technical report writing skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia required
