About the Role Our Client, a major platinum group metals (PGM) producer, requires a Senior Mine Planner to take ownership of short,medium, and long-term underground mine planning. This is a high-impact role at the heart of operational decision-making on one of southern Africa’s premier PMG operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and manage short-, medium-, and long-term life-of-mine(LoM) plans for underground operations
  • Perform production scheduling using Deswik, Datamine or equivalent mine planning software
  • Integrate geological models and resource estimates into operational plans
  • Monitor planned vs actual production performance and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate with survey, geology and engineering departments to ensure plan integrity
  • Present planning deliverables to executive leadership and joint venture partners

Requirements

  • BEng or BSc in Mining Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years mine planning experience, with at least 4 years in an underground hard-rock environment
  • Proficiency in Deswik Suite, Datamine Studio, or Surpac
  • Strong understanding of stope design, scheduling ,and reserve management
  • Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency advantageous
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
