Key Responsibilities
- Lead metallurgical process audits and drive improvement across crushing , milling,flotation, and leaching circuits.
- Development and implement test work programs ,interpreting data to optimise recovery and thoughput
- Mentor and manage a team of junior mid-level metallurgists
- Liaise with engineering, geology, and mine planning teams to align plant performance with ore fee characteristics
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to senior management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health and safety legislation
Requirements
- BSc or BEng in Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering (Honours preferred)
- Minimum 8 years exprience in a metallurgical role within the mining industry
- Proven experience with gold, platinum. or base metals processing
- Strong knowledge of commutation, flotation, and hydrometallurgical processes
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to remote sites
